Every pet has their own quirks—and that’s part of what makes them special! Most of the pets I photograph are untrained, easily distracted, or full of energy—and that's perfectly okay.

With years of experience working with animals in rescue and veterinary settings, I have the skills to adapt to each pet’s unique personality. Through patience, positive encouragement, treats, and a few tricks, I’m generally able to capture beautiful images, even if your pet has no formal training.

While I can't guarantee specific outcomes, I promise to give my very best effort to create images you’ll love.

It’s completely normal for some pets to feel shy, cautious, or anxious in unfamiliar situations—and that’s okay!

I have years of experience working with shy and fearful cats and dogs through my background in rescue, veterinary care, and feral cat socialization. I’ll work at your pet’s pace, using patience, encouragement, treats, and plenty of breaks to help them feel more comfortable.

However, if a pet is extremely fearful to the point where they can’t safely interact with new people, remain highly stressed in new environments, or show serious aggression toward strangers, I may recommend postponing or skipping the session for everyone’s safety and well-being.

For very timid pets, especially cats, I sometimes recommend a meet-and-greet first to ensure we’re a good fit.

If you're looking for a little extra support, some pet parents have found that calming treats can gently take the edge off without sedating their pet. If you're curious, I suggest testing it at home several days before the session to make sure it's a good fit and doesn’t make your pup drowsy.

My goal is to photograph plenty of images during your session to capture a variety of moments. After carefully sorting and editing, I typically produce at least 25 final images for you to view in your private gallery. Your gallery will be ready in about two weeks.

Every session is tailored to your pet’s comfort and personality—there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. We’ll start by giving your pet time to settle in and get comfortable with me, my camera, and the environment.

Sessions typically last 1 to 2 hours, with breaks to keep things fun and relaxed. My goal is to create a positive experience that results in a beautiful variety of natural images, and hopefully a few fun memories too!

Sessions can take place at your home, outdoors, or in my Riverside studio—whichever setting feels right for your pet.

For young pets under four months, cats, or pets that are especially anxious in new environments, I typically recommend in-home sessions to help them feel safe and more comfortable.

Absolutely! I love capturing the connection between pets and their people. Signature Sessions include up to four total subjects (pets or people), so you’re more than welcome to join in.

Yes! Most of the dogs in my portfolio were photographed on leashes for safety. I’ll either pose them creatively to hide the leashes or, if possible, remove them during editing. When needed, we can also use an extra-long leash for more freedom and natural-looking action shots.

I include basic editing with every session, such as color and lighting enhancements, minor touch-ups, and removing small distractions when possible. If you’d like more extensive retouching, it’s available for an additional.

After booking, you’ll receive a Session Guide with tips on what to wear, bring, and expect. It’s designed to help you and your pet feel comfortable and prepared for your session!

You're welcome to bring treats, toys, or anything your pet loves—especially if it helps get their attention or makes them feel more at ease. Familiar or comforting items are always a good idea.
